I don't believe that they are machinist, just CNC machine operators. There are very few machinist available. These machines measure the tools and load the offsets. The operators load and unload parts. The machine probes the parts and makes the fixture offsets. machine operators are not machinist. I would probably take Boeings offer before there is another plant like Charleston, nonunion.

They can hire people that will appreciate the opportunity to work for them. I had to join a union to work for a company. The union gets a percentage of the employees wages. Basically, they act like a mob for greedy union leaders.
