    Being autistic and having been abused my entire life, I need and really enjoy social isolation. I don't have to mask or worry about serving and pleasing others, which is both excruciating and exhausting. I already have anxiety, depression, serious heart disease, and a host of other ailments that I've had for years now, thanks to a lifetime of abusive interaction. I can't force others to not be abusive, but I can distance and isolate myself, and so I do. Sometimes, I wish it could be different, but unfortunately, I can't do anything about
