Coffee enthusiasts in Greater Gardner have voted Victoria Coffee in Westminster as the best coffee in or around the Gardner area.

The Westminster coffee shop won 49.52% of the votes in The Gardner News poll . The runner-up is Sippin' Serendipity Coffee & Cafe in Winchendon, which got 40.95% of the votes.

Colby Chrusciel, the co-owner of Victoria Coffee, said he is very thankful that the community feels they deserve the first-place position and values their support.

"There is a lack of coffee culture in the area, so we are always trying to continue to build it by offering a unique specialty coffee experience," he said. "People in the community are clearly wanting more of the specialty coffee and they are not picking convenience over quality."

Victoria Coffee is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Although Sippin' Serendipity has only been open since June, Greater Gardner residents have voted the Winchendon café as the second-best coffee in the area.

Heather Connor, co-owner of the café, said she was really excited to hear the poll results and she is honored that the community has supported them in this way.

"At first, we were wondering if people were willing to wait or even pay for the cost of a good expresso or specialty coffee, but we quickly realized that people do want good coffee," she said. "We are not just a coffee shop; we got it all, and we nearly sell out of our baked goods every day."

Sippin' Serendipity is open Tuesday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In Westminster not paying $5.00 for coffee new management no more ice cream or dollar hot dogs, no hot dogs period. Too expensive.
