Tripadvisor’s list was compiled by analyzing the quality and quantity of user reviews over the past year, with Asheville being the only city in North Carolina to make the cut.

The town’s food scene is heavily influenced by its support for local farmers and seasonal produce, with 17 farmers' markets providing fresh ingredients to many of its highly-rated restaurants.
