    Cincinnati weather: Thunderstorms, tornado threat possible Tuesday. Track forecast here

    Greater Cincinnati will finally experience some short-term drought relief as rainfall is probable in parts of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky on Tuesday and the rest of the week.

    According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington , a wave of low pressure will bring showers and thunderstorms to the Ohio Valley area Tuesday. A few severe thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

    The main threat will be damaging winds. A tornado or two also cannot be ruled out, per a hazardous weather outlook. Temperatures will be in the 70s to near 80.

    Drier weather is expected for Wednesday through Thursday before a tropical system provides a chance of precipitation late this week into the weekend.

    Temperatures will be fairly seasonable with highs in the mid-70s to lower 80s through the weekend. Somewhat cooler temperatures are expected on Monday with highs in the low to mid 70s.

The chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

    Wednesday: There is a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Light south wind. The chance of precipitation is 40%.

    Wednesday night: There is a chance of showers, mainly before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 63. Calm wind. The chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

    Thursday: There is a chance of showers, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming east at 5 to 7 mph in the morning. The chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

    Thursday night: There is a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 67. The chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

    Friday: Showers likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

    Saturday: There is a chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

    Sunday: There is a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. The chance of precipitation is 50%.

    Monday: There is a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. The chance of precipitation is 50%.
