Milford man charged with first-degree murder

MILFORD — An 18-year-old Milford man was charged with first-degree murder after a woman was found deceased Sunday, authorities said.

Milford Police spokesperson Sgt. Timothy Maloney said that at approximately 12:55 p.m., the patrol division was dispatched to N. Church St in the area of SW Front St. for an 18-year-old male, who was having mental health issues.

The man stated to officers that he had killed someone, police said. Through further investigation, officers were prompted to respond to a residence in the 400 block of Lakeview Ave., where they located a 50-year-old female deceased, authorities said.

Investigators took the 18-year-old male identified as Edouard Risch Oldens of Milford into custody, police said.

Mr. Risch Oldens was also charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He was presented through Justice of the Peace Court 3 where bail was set at $680,000 cash bail only.

Mr. Risch Oldens was turned over to the Delaware Department of Correction, police said.
