Teens from Michigan caught in Deer Park stealing packages in rented car

DEER PARK, TX – According to court documents, Seventeen-year-old David Dye and eighteen-year-old Iyanna Perry are facing charges for theft of phones. The court documents are filed in Harris County. Both are charged in separate cases: 188595501010 - The State of Texas vs. DYE, DAVID (Court 174) and 188592401010 - The State of Texas vs. PERRY, IYANNA RENEE (Court 174). Both Dye and Perry, who reside in Michigan, have posted $5,000 bonds each.

According to a Facebook post , Dye and Perry traveled from Chicago and rented vehicles, which they allegedly used to steal packages containing iPhone 16 models. The Deer Park Police Department currently has one iPhone in their possession, but they have not yet identified its owner. The post also claims that a third individual, who was not with them at the time of the thefts, has not been arrested.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
