San Francisco 49ers fans call NFL ‘rigged’ after refs miss clear penalty which would have seen LA Rams game extended

SAN Francisco 49ers fans are adamant that the NFL failed to notice a penalty that could’ve helped continue the team’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The same fans even believe the league is “rigged” as the 49ers blew a double-digit lead to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams and lost 27-24 on the road in Week 3.
Los Angeles stunned the world with their comeback win after trailing 14 points at halftime.
But 49ers fans think the NFL missed a penalty late in the contest, and that would’ve extended the game.
The Rams kicked a field goal to give them a 27-24 lead with two seconds left in the game.
Los Angeles kicked off to San Francisco and saw numerous players lateral the ball to continue the play and give them a shot at scoring a game-winning touchdown with no time left on the clock.
The 49ers got all the way to the Rams’ 36-yard line until they fumbled the ball out of bounds – meaning the game was over.
However, San Francisco fans seemed to believe that star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was hit in the head by Los Angeles rookie safety Kamren Kinchens at the end of the play.
If Aiyuk was hit in the head, the officials would’ve handed the Rams a 15-yard penalty – resulting in the 49ers having a chance to kick a field goal on Los Angeles’ 21-yard line.
Instead, the Rams claimed their first victory of the season while San Francisco fell to 1-2.
But 49ers fans think that the league is “rigged” for their non-penalty call on Kinchens.
“Seriously how can the commissioner of the NFL allow this? This is why sports will always be seen as rigged,” one commented.
“NFL officiating has been awful this year. There needs to be accountability,” a second said.
“Dirtiest team out there. The NFL is clearly rigged,” a third added.
Unfortunately for San Francisco fans, the non-penalty call seemed to be the right one as it appeared that Kinchens shoulder-hit Aiyuk which is a legal play.
They received massive contributions from Jauan Jennings, who set career-highs with 11 catches for 175 yards and three touchdowns.
But the Rams had injuries of their own too as their top wideouts Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp were also injured and couldn’t play in the contest.
Star running back Kyren Williams rushed for three touchdowns as Los Angeles was opportunistic in the final 19 minutes, outscoring San Francisco 20-3 in that span.
Not only did the 49ers lose, but they also saw starting defensive tackle Javon Hargrave suffer a season-ending triceps injury.
They will hope to get back to .500 as they host the New England Patriots in Week 4.
And the 1-2 Rams will travel to face the Chicago Bears next Sunday.
