As the second-largest city in Kentucky, Lexington is home to beautiful landscapes, friendly people, and Bluegrass music. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Lexington also has numerous thrift shops worth exploring.

From mom-and-pop shops to chain thrift stores, you’ll undoubtedly find something to take home from one of these thrift shops. To compile this list, we turned to Google and Yelp to find the thrift stores that Lexington shoppers truly love. Here are 10 thrift stores you should head to next time you’re in Lexington. (Here are 10 fashion trends from bygone times we want to wear again .)

    Uptown Cheapskate Lexington — 125 E. Reynolds Rd. #160

Uptown Cheapskate in Lexington is an upcycle thrift store that buys second-hand items for instant cash or store credit. You’ll find the thrift store staples, including men’s and women’s clothing, and since Uptown Cheapskate only buys popular styles, there will be a lot to choose from.

They also sell some upscale labels such as Coach, J. Crew, Michael Kors, and Anthropologie.

Room Service Inc. — 933 Liberty Rd.

The inventory changes frequently, so it’s worth stopping in once in a while if you’re looking for that gotta-have piece for your house.

The Domestic — 945 National Ave.

It should be noted that while they buy gently used items, they don’t take items from Old Navy, Target, or Walmart. You’ll find name-brand labels here, including Coach, Kate Spade, and Chico’s. One Yelp shopper said this is a great place to find a hat for the Kentucky Derby! (Check out some ’70s styles that are best left in the past .)
