According to the Washington Post, mass killings account for less than 1% of all murders and 79% of the time are committed with handguns. Recent studies from gun control advocacy group say that, on average over the last 20 and 25 years two mass shootings per year are committed with AR-type weapons even though there are more than 20 million of them in private hands in the US. People who want to do something about violence in America need to have the intellectual and moral courage to address that violence where it disproportionately manifests itself and quit blowing smoke up our skirts.
