    PREP ROUNDUP: Lady Devils Win District Golf Tourney

    MORRISTOWN — The Greeneville golf team competed in the district tournament on Monday at The Country Club in Morristown. The Lady Devils took first place with a team total 156 and the Devils took fourth place with a team total 351.

    All three Lady Devils finished top three, propelling the squad to the region tourney. Kylee Renner took first place with a 76 followed by Brylee Catron in second with an 80 and Kamryn Renner in third with an 82.

    Bryce Guinn led the Devils, shooting an 83 and making the region tourney as an individual. Bryson Ricker shot an 84 followed by TJ Coles with a 90, Wolfgang Rabern with a 94 and Landon Aldridge with a 97.

    VOLLEYBALLNorth Greene

    BAILEYTON — The North Greene Lady Huskies defeated Providence Academy 28-30, 25-21, 25-12 and Gatlinburg-Pittman 17-25, 25-14, 25-21 in a tri-match on Monday.

    Against Providence, North Greene's Josie Graham had six kills and an ace; Matti Phillips had five kills and four aces; Kaydence Marshall had five kills, eight assists and three digs; Loren Blevins had nine assists and an ace; and Hannah Miller had four kills, two blocks and an ace.

    Against Gatlinburg-Pittman, Phillips had seven kills and an ace; Blevins had six kills and four assists; Graham had five kills and two aces; Marshall had 15 assists, two kills and two aces; and Miller had three kills, two aces and a block.

    North Greene improves to 15-6.

    JONESBOROUGH — David Crockett swept Greeneville 25-21, 25-16, 25-18 on Monday, dropping the Lady Devils to 8-12.

    Greeneville's Kyla Jobe had 12 digs and seven kills; Leah Ford had eight digs and five kills; Manning Click had 11 digs; Trudi Aiken had 15 assists and nine digs; Brynlee Jones had eight digs and four assists; and Kinley McCaslin had three digs and three kills.

    JOHNSON CITY — Greeneville defeated Liberty Bell 25-19, 25-17 on Monday.

    Greeneville's Kati Hawk had 13 assists, Katie Johnson had nine kills, Rylan Carver had four aces and Violet Carr had seven digs.
