One teenager dead and another hospitalized after crash

A teenager is dead and another is in critical condition after crash in the Upstate, earlier today. The Anderson County Coroner's Office says two students from BHP crashed in Belton just after 11AM. The male driver ran off the road and hit a tree.

His 17 year old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was critically injured and was transported to Anmed Hospital. The Coroner's Office says the two have a 4 month old baby together and were headed to pick up the child from daycare when the crash happened.

The victim has not been identified, as of the time of this report.
