Things are starting to feel even more real for the upcoming new soap, Beyond the Gates. The first three actresses cast were recently announced, including Karla Mosley. CBS fans know the actress from Guiding Light, and especially her groundbreaking work on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, she’ll play Dani Dupree on the soap set to premiere in early 2025.

Time to Suit Up for Beyond the Gates

On her Instagram account, Mosley posted a few photos/selfies in Atlanta, the location where Beyond the Gates will film. The journey has entered the wardrobe phase if she’s thanking the BTG wardrobe team. In her latest post, she excitedly shared, “3 hours of sleep, but make it humid. It’s happening!!!!!!!!! @jeresa_featherstone and her wardrobe team are out here KILLING IT!!!!!! Wait until you see Miss Dani Dupree, y’all!”

CBS dropped details about Dani’s primary motivations. According to the network, “Dani is Anita’s (Tamara Tunie) other daughter, a former model turned momager who gave up her career for love. She is the Dupree family’s wild child. Free-spirited, headstrong, and uninhibited, Dani dropped out of school to pursue a high-flying modeling career and has always marched to the beat of her own drum.”

My gratitude could not be any deeper to the Soap Opera icon (and my dear friend) @michelevaljean for your vision, courage and joy in creating this groundbreaking project. The first new soap in over 20 years, y’all!.”

Michele Val Jean of B&B, Santa Barbara, and General Hospital is the head writer and showrunner for BTG. Mosley also expressed how proud she was to be back on CBS and thanked her fellow announced co-stars Tunie and Daphnee Duplaix, saying, “My heart is just exploding. What a gift to be cast opposite both of you.”
