Various fees collected included $25 in copy fees, $8,631.52 in shares fees, $80.00 in miscellaneous accounts, and $350.00 in warrant fees, totaling $9,086.52.The Sheriff’s Office responded to 679 calls for service in August, completed 15 accident reports, served 85 warrants and 268 civil papers, and covered 3,113 transport miles….The average daily population in the jail was reported as 60.68…The Sheriff’s Office collected $18,003.23 for Auto County contract work release fees, $3,240 in 24/7 fees, $6,349 in scram fees, and $4,778 in other fees.The office recently hosted a DCI class for local law enforcement at Lake Area Tech College…Next week, the South Dakota Sheriff’s Association will hold its conference in Watertown, bringing an influx of squad cars and sheriff’s vehicles to the area.
