    The best tacos in Indiana? Yelp says they’re at an ice cream shop

    INDIANAPOLIS — Yelp has unveiled its list of the best tacos available in every US state, and Indiana’s best taco spot may surprise you.

    Chris’ Ice Cream and Mexican Food, located at 1484 E 86th St. in the Nora Corners Shopping Center on Indy’s north side, was named the best taco spot in the Hoosier State in a new Yelp ranking released Tuesday . The annual list ranked the best taco vendors in each state for 2024.

    And no, the ice cream/taco spot is not serving up Choco Tacos.

    According to the restaurant’s website, Chris’ Ice Cream focuses on both traditional Mexican food and Mexican ice cream. Popular menu items include the Campechano Taco, the steak taco and mango ice cream.

    Yelp said that the 2024 list was made by the data team, which analyzed business rating and review volume. For more information, click here .
