    Stoneman Douglas, Westglades Cross Country Compete at Tradewinds Park

    PARKLAND, FL- The Stoneman Douglas Cross Country Team competed at the same meet with Westglades Middle School at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek on Tuesday.

    The MSD Boys finished fourth out of seven teams competing in their race and were led by Noah Alba, who finished in third place overall at the meet in 17:56. Matthew Rosenberg, Alexander Spadaccini, Caleb Walker, and Calyx Olsen rounded out the top five for Douglas.

    The MSD Girls took second place out of seven schools and were led by Noa Nierman, Cecilia Gago, Caroline Schwartz, Sparta Koumoutsakis, and Sophia Zengotita.

    The Westglades Boys and Girls both had first place finishers in their race. Mason Polonia won for the boys in 13:05, and Alexys Caropreso won the girls race by over a minute, finishing far ahead of the field in 13:48.
