CHEYENNE — A student told the Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees during their Monday meeting that the administration seems to care more about parental rights than child safety.

The student, identified as “L.C.” for the record, spoke during public comment at the meeting. Her major concerns were student safety, specifically citing mental health, traffic safety and gun violence.
