WEST RICHLAND, Wash. - The owners of Tumbleweeds announced Tuesday they are closing up the restaurant at close of business.

The announcement was made by owner Keith Moon, who shared it on the restaurant's Facebook Page.

" We have come to the ultimate decision that after 24 years of being totally committed, the personal needs of our family are officially not aligned with the time needs of this business and for that reason, we are ready to pass the torch to the next leader with a vision for the future," the post stated.

Moon and his wife took ownership of the restaurant in 2014. He started at the restaurant when he was 14 and eventually took over the family business.

The announcement also stated Moon is already working with a group that is interested in buying the restaurant and keeping it as Tumbleweeds. While this is still in the beginning stages, Moon hopes the closing of the storefront will only be temporary until everything gets worked out.

Moon said the Tumbleweeds food truck will still be operational and it will honor the commitments through the month of December 2024.

On Thursday, September 26, from 11am to 2pm, the food truck will be doing one last service from the parking lot of the former Tumbleweeds Restaurant, which was located at 894 Stevens Drive in Richland.

" To say thank you to Richland who has relentlessly supported us for the first 24 years and to a city to which we owe our thanks and gratitude," the post explained. " This has been the most incredible 24-year ride and after a quarter of a century, with gratitude for all, we are ready for the next chapter."

The owner gives me the creeps. Preaches love then blasts people all over his social media for disagreeing with him or having a different opinion. Weird guy.
