    2 killed, others hospitalized after being thrown from car in I-81 crash in Franklin County

    FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Two people were killed and another two were seriously injured in an August crash on I-81 in Franklin County, State Police say.

    State Police at Chambersburg wrote in a crash report on Tuesday that, 25-year-old Diamonte Disney, from Hagerstown, and passenger 20-year-old Tiheen Matthews, also of Hagerstown were killed in the crash on Aug. 21 in Antrim Township near mile marker 5.8 Greencastle. They were pronounced dead at the crash scene.

    Two other women passengers, a 36-year-old and 21-year-old, also both from Hagerstown were seriously injured and taken to Meritus Medical Center, Troopers wrote.

    It was right before 2 a.m. when Disney, who was driving a 2012 Infiniti G37, lost control and went off the roadway, hitting a guidewire, causing it to roll multiple times.

    All four people inside the car were thrown when the vehicle was rolling, Troopers wrote. The car came to a rest on its roof between both southbound lanes, and had to be towed from the scene.

    It was noted in the crash report that no one was wearing their seatbelts.

    Greencastle Fire & EMS, Marion Fire & EMS, WellSpan EMS, Chambersburg EMS, Franklin Fire Police and the Franklin County Coroner’s office assisted at the scene.
