The Mavericks made the short trip to Lincoln for the Git-R-Done Invitational, where they finished 11th out of 12 teams with a final team score of +30. </p><p>Juniors Luke Strako and Nolan Johnson tied for Omaha's best three-round score, entering the clubhouse with a total mark of one over par. The result was good for a tie for 16th place overall.</p><p>Marvin Luchutaskul and Sam Vocelka both posted a final +14 to round out the team's top four. Senior Christopher Atkinson finished with a +21 tally. </p><p>The performance comes on the heels of a last-place finish at the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas, where Omaha finished 15th of 15 teams. The Mavericks will be back in action next week at the Tommie Invitational in Stillwater, Minnesota.</p><h2>Women’s Golf</h2><p>Omaha's women's golf team fared slightly better in its own tournament, traveling down to Columbia, Missouri for the Johnie Imes Invitational. The Mavericks finished 10th of 13 teams, a disappointing result after finishing tied for first place at the Payne Stewart Memorial tournament two weeks ago. This week's finish came as a result of a +37 final team score.</p><p>UNO’s top finisher was Macarena Terron, who posted a +3 both days for a total score of +6 and a 23rd-place finish. Katie Ruge finished 26th with a +7 and Sydney Taake finished 46th with a +12. Emily Karmazin and Elly Honnens rounded out Omaha's finishers with a +13 and +23, respectively. The Mavericks will look to bounce back next week when they host the Big O Classic at Oak Hills Country Club.</p></div></body>
