Seymour, which won five of the eight Bay mini-meets this fall, finished with 151 points — two better than runner-up Shawano, which won the conference tournament by three strokes over the Thunder.Madison Edgewood, which shared the 2023 Badger Small Conference title with Mount Horeb, won it outright after winning the conference tournament at Christmas Mountain GC in Wisconsin Dells. Westosha Central won its fifth straight Southern Lakes Conference title by taking the conference tournament at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville. Overall champion: Edgewood (Madison).Individual champion: Kyran Merrell, Baraboo (85).Highlight reel: The three freshmen in the lineup struggled somewhat for Edgewood (Madison), the top-ranked team among WIAA Division 2 schools in the latest Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin state rankings, but Naomi Clayton was there to make sure the Crusaders finished what they started. The junior shot 89 to finish second individually to Baraboo junior Kyran Merrell and help the Crusaders (372) not only win the tournament title by 18 strokes over Mount Horeb (390), but also stake a claim to the overall title for the second year in a row. Freshmen Mya Bindl (93), Olive Jaeger (95) and Lexi Clark (96), the team's No. 1 golfer, finished 6-7-8 for the Crusaders, who threw out a 98 from senior Georgia Caulum (ninth).What's next? Edgewood (Madison) begins its quest for its first WIAA Division 2 state tournament berth since 2022 as the heavy favorite Oct. 2 at the Prairie du Chien regional being the only ranked team among the nine in the field. Clayton is the only returning golfer from the team that finished second to Lancaster at the same regional a year ago. Mount Horeb and Stoughton, which finished 2-3, respectively, at the conference tournament will head to the Division 1 Fort Atkinson regional while Merrell and her Baraboo teammates tee it up at the Division 1 Reedsburg regional.<h2>BAY</h2>Where: Wander Springs GC-Greenleaf. Tournament champion: Shawano (Sophia Eggert 81, Lily Glysch 95, Delanie Kunze 95, Madelyn Moesch 102). Overall champion: Seymour.Individual champion: Sophia Eggert, Shawano, 81.Highlight reel: Senior Sophia Eggert became a two-time Bay Conference champion by winning her first title since her freshman season, firing an 81 to edge Seymour freshman Lyla Schueler by four strokes for medalist honors. The Hawks, however, needed Seymour to finish third or worse to have a shot at the overall title, but the Thunder made sure there was no chance of that happening. Sophomore Morgan Lewis (89) and seniors Gillian Herrala (100) and Addison Gady (102) finished 3-10-12 behind Schueler as Seymour finished 34 strokes ahead of third-place West De Pere. What's next? Seymour, ranked fifth in the GCAW Division 2 poll, travels Oct. 1 to Northbrook Golf &amp; Grill in Luxemburg for the WIAA Division 2 Luxemburg-Casco regional where the Thunder and fourth-ranked Marinette are the top teams in the seven-team field. Overall champion: Westosha Central.Individual champion: Camille Delost, Westosha Central, 75.Highlight reel: Another year, another Southern Lakes Conference title for Westosha Central to take home to Paddock Lake. The Falcons crowned their fourth conference champion in five years (and the first not named Kylie Walker) as sophomore Camille DeLost shot 75 to earn medalist honors by eight strokes over senior Kate Krauklis of runner-up Elkhorn. DeLost, who went birdie-birdie to start her round according to her iWanamaker scorecard, was the only golfer in the field without a score worse than bogey on that card. Elkhorn's runner-up finish was its best since winning the SLC title in 2011. What's next? Westosha Central will travel to Ives Grove GL in Sturtevant for the Union Grove regional where Oak Creek, from the Southeast Conference, is likely to be the Falcons' greatest threat to another team title. Westosha Central (399) finished eight shots ahead of the Knights in their only head-to-head meeting at the Mukwonago Invitational in late August.<h2>WOODLAND CONFERENCE</h2>Where: Broadlands GC-North Prairie. Tournament champion: New Berlin Eisenhower/West 384 (Maggie Blank 84, Jenna Anderson 93, Sawyer Dassow 102, Mya Kulwicki 105). Overall champion: New Berlin Eisenhower/West.Individual champion: Aubrey Molaison, Lake Country Lutheran, 82.Highlight reel: When it comes to girls golf in the Woodland Conference, New Berlin Eisenhower/West and Pewaukee are seemingly as inseparable as Tina Fey and Amy Pohler. For the fifth year in a row, they finished 1-2 at the conference championship with New Berlin again having the upper hand by four shots. Junior Maggie Blank shot 84 to finish runner-up for the second time in three years and senior Jenna Anderson shot 93 to finish fifth as their work at the top of the lineup helped the Lions withstand the balance of Pewaukee, which packed its four scoring golfers between eighth and 12th place. Juniors Anna Marrero (94) and sophomore Jenna Rambo (95) led the way for the Pirates, who finished two behind New Berlin a year ago.What's next? New Berlin Eisenhower/West and Pewaukee will go different directions in the Brookfield Central sectional — New Berlin to the Wauwatosa East/West regional at Dretzka Park GC in Milwaukee and Pewaukee to the Waukesha South regional where the Pirates will run into second-ranked Arrowhead. </div></body>
