The Cardinals are led by head coach Joe Fano in his seventh season.Last season, the Cardinals opened up the year with number two ranked Whitewater where they were tested early. Ultimately, the team ended the year 8-17 going 7-13 in conference. The Cardinals are determined to surpass their season wins from last year.The Cardinals first game of the season is at Crown College on November 8th for a 7 p.m. start and the following week they host two home games before traveling to Chicago to face Division I, University of Illinois Chicago on Saturday, November 16th.MIAC play will start December 7th in Duluth for the Cardinals facing St. Scholastica and home versus Saint Johns on the Wednesday the 11th. The Cardinals are excited to share that they will be heading West after the holidays, playing in California for two games December 30-31.After the return, MIAC play is in full swing as the Cardinals will play every Wednesday and Saturday for the remainder of the season. The last chance to catch the Cardinals in action before tournament play is February 22nd at home versus Macalester at 3 p.m.The Cardinals will be returning a few key players such as Breyton Buysman, an Honorable Mention All-MIAC player, who led the team in points and minutes and Jabari Sawyer who was the team's second leading scorer. Owen Ziegler who led the team in three-pointers made is set to return for his fifth year of eligibility.The Cardinals are also seeing a lot of new faces this year welcoming in eight new players to the roster.The excitement is in the air on campus as the season will be here in no time!</div></body>
