The investigation continues in Evans into an apparent shooting that led to a shelter-in-place order Monday evening near 31st Street and Lakeside Drive. It was put in place at 6pm and lifted just before 9 that night. Police were investigating a report of a car driving erratically and arrived at an apartment in the 3100 block of Lakeside Drive. Police issued the shelter-in-place out of an abundance of caution due to the nature of the incident and the possibility of the suspect being armed, as well as the number of people who lived in the area. Police could not find the suspect and lifted the shelter-in-place order around 8:50 p.m.
