Two men have appeared in court charged with manslaughter over the death of a man who was struck by a bus in south east London.

Mark Pearce, 40, and Markie Collins, 18, from Bexley have been charged with the manslaughter of Amamudin Alikhel, also known as Ali Khan.

They appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on September 18.

Met Police officers were called to West Erith after reports of a man injured at 11.25pm on August 28 last year.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. Mr Alikhel was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation was launched and detectives discovered there had been an alleged argument before the victim was hit by the bus.

The charged pair were bailed to appear at the Old Bailey on October 16.
