Lynora's: Popular Palm Beach Italian restaurant is coming to the Treasure Coast

Lynora's is opening a new restaurant in Martin County, which will be the South Florida Italian restaurant chain's first on the Treasure Coast and first outside of Palm Beach County.

The Palm City restaurant will be at 3215 S.W. Mapp Road and is slated to open this December.

Lynora's and its fast-casual version Lynora's Kitchen was founded in 1976 and has expanded to five restaurants since. It is known for its fresh, homemade menu items, family recipes and weekly deals such as $3 meatball Mondays.

Lynora's: The secret sauce behind the expansion of Lynora’s restaurant chain? It’s Mamma.

    What is Lynora's?

Lynora's is named after the grandmother of Maria Abbenante, who owns the chain with husband, Raffaele.

After the couple immigrated to the United States from Ponza, Italy, in 1974, they began selling pizza by the slice in Lake Worth using Maria's mother's recipes.

They opened the first Lynora's in a Greenacres shopping center at Military Trail and Lake Worth Road.

They still oversee the kitchen’s fresh-made products: pasta, meatballs and sauces. On meatball Mondays, the kitchen can turn out anywhere between 120 to 180 pounds of meatballs, Angelo Abbenante told The Palm Beach Post in 2020.
