A New Sprouts Is Planned In Florida And It Is Hiring In Anticipation

Floridians who value organic, healthy items and a large produce section have plenty of options. Examples are Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and the Fresh Market. One grocer in this category, Sprouts, is getting a new store in Largo, and it is hiring employees to help run it.

What's So Special About Sprouts?: This is a relatively young company that was founded in 2002. The store offers natural, healthy options - some of which are under its private label. Bulk shopping is available and there's a large wellness department.

The company has grown over the years so it now has over 30,000 employees and around 410 stores - over 40 of which are in Florida.

Some Floridians appear to enjoy the chain. In the forum Talk of the Villages, a reviewer with the handle OrangeBlossomBaby wrote, in part:

"Sprouts is great. They're focused more on produce than anything else, and they have a good selection of local and specialty fruits and veggies for reasonable prices. They also have a huge variety of bulk bin items...So if you like natural foods...and (you need) fresh produce, Sprouts is a good place to go..."

About The New Sprouts and Hiring: A new store is planned in Largo at E. Bay Dr. & Keene. An expected opening date is November 14, 2024.

On October 1 and October 2nd, 2024, Sprouts will conduct a hiring event at the Holiday Inn on 3535 Ulmerton Road. The company is looking to hire cashiers and clerks to work in the deli, meat, beauty, and seafood departments, as well as receivers.

Sprouts employees on Indeed give the company 3 out of 5 stars. Some were complimentary, but one person criticized work-life balance but said their job used to be quite fun. Another criticized management.

The author is not affiliated with Sprouts or any other grocers and retailers.

No different from any other store just jacked up prices for the same food you get anywhere else.
