During the investigation, it was revealed that Anthony Ray Goldman, age 18, of Cleveland, Texas was at the DeRidder High School Band Practice field on Oneal Street. While there, at approximately 21:44 Goldman had fired several rounds from a .22 caliber handgun, striking a juvenile and a subsequent fight between Goldman and the juvenile occurred at that location. The firearm was later located, and it was discovered that the handgun had an obliterated serial number.On September 24, 2024, at 16:13 Anthony Ray Goldman was arrested for the following charges with a hold without bond:LA R.S. 14:27/14:30.1 Attempted Second-Degree MurderLA R.S. 14:95.7 Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Numbers or MarksLA R.S. 14:95.2 Possession of a Firearm in a Firearm Free ZoneThis investigation is being investigated by the DeRidder Police Department with the assistance of the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office and is ongoing at this time.
