It was already the Bulldogs’ third victory over 4A opposition this season.Arguably the most impressive aspect of the win was Hitchcock’s defense. Bellville runs the slot-T, which has proven tough for opposition to slow down. Last year, they averaged over 51 points per game, and this season they were averaging 40.7 points through three contests.Hitchcock wasn’t having it. The Bulldogs held them to just 194 yards rushing on 53 carries.Offensively, quarterback Lloyd Jones III, a Texas Tech commit, took care of business. He connected with running back Terrell Allen for a touchdown right before halftime.
