Here’s how experience can help you prepare. Have hurricane shutters if you own a house. Buy generators and fuel or invest in a whole house generator. Empty your freezers. Get your updates from NHC instead of local news. Learn how to read and understand what they tell you. Evacuate if ordered. And have a place to go. Make sure all your meds are filled, your pets have food, and you have a safe place to shelter. And expect delays getting back to normal.
