“I’ve been all over this world. I’ve seen men die in ways I ain’t even know was possible,” Michael B. Jordan says as "Smoke" in the new trailer for Sinners.

Jordan and director Ryan Coogler are back together for their fifth collaboration, and this time the duo are working in the horror genre with the vampire film set in the 1930s Jim Crow-era South.

Warner Bros. released the official trailer for Sinners on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The description reads: “Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan in dual roles) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back."

Along with directing, Coogler also produces the film.

Sinners marks Coogler’s first non-franchise work since his 2013 debut film, Fruitvale Station, which starred Jordan. After that, he helmed the Rocky spin-off Creed and two Marvel films — Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

News about Jordan and Coogler reuniting was first revealed by The Hollywood Reporter in January 2024. At the time, the outlet reported secrecy for the then-untitled film was so tight that executives had to read the script in the offices of Jordan and Coogler’s talent agency WME.

It was then revealed a few months later in April, that the plot was going to be about vampires and filming was in New Orleans.

In addition to Jordan’s dual roles, Sinners also stars Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee), Jack O’Connell (Ferrari), Wunmi Mosaku (Passenger), Jayme Lawson (The Woman King), Omar Benson Miller (True Lies) and Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods).

The film will be released in theaters nationwide on March 7, 2025.
