The Blackhawks trimmed their training camp roster by assigning four prospects to their respective junior clubs: forwards Martin Misiak (Erie Otters), Alex Pharand (Sudbury Wolves), and Marek Vanacker (Brantford Bulldogs) and defenseman Ty Henry (Erie Otters). After Tuesday's cuts, the Blackhawks training camp roster features 49 players.

When the Blackhawks took the ice for Tuesday's practice, game preparation was a point of emphasis. Several regulars, including Connor Bedard, and a handful of prospects are expected to comprise Chicago's lineup for Wednesday's preseason game against the Red Wings.

Bedard will also headline the Blackhawks' top power-play unit while Kevin Korchinski quarterbacks the second group.

The Blackhawks and Red Wings are preparing to knock the rust off as Wednesday's contest will be the first exhibition game for both teams. Puck drop is at 7 PM CT and the game will stream on Blackhawks.com.
