MINNEOLA, Fla. — Lake Minneola High School’s volleyball team saw their historic 10-game winning streak come to an abrupt end earlier this week, falling 3-0 to West Orange in a hard-fought match that snapped their best start in school history. The Hawks struggled to find their rhythm against a strong West Orange team, dropping sets 25-18, 25-21, and 25-17. Despite the setback, Lake Minneola (11-1) bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Horizon High on Tuesday night. The Hawks took the first set 25-17 but Horizon took set 2 25-18. The third set wsa a close 25-23 win for Lake Minneola and they finished it off with a 25-21 win in set 4 to win the match. They showed up against Horizon showing resilience and determination to regain their form after the loss.
