That was followed by a 25-14, 25-18 victory over Merrill and a 17-25, 25-20 triumph against Meridian.Those results landed Capac a Silver Bracket appearance.It was there they obtained a 25-22, 25-21 win over Owen-Gage and a 25-14, 25-20 victory against Coleman, earning them the distinction of Silver Division champions.Alley Block handled the bulk of Capac’s playmaking responsibilities. She finished with 56 set assists.Lily Uribe (20), Nolynn Allen (17 apiece), Karina Ramirez (17), Madelynn Dudley (16), Block (10), Christina Howard (four), Ava Klink and Cierra Helzer (two apiece), plus Chloe Schocke, Charlotte Mandeville and Madison Clark (one each) provided Capac’s kills.Helzer (44), Block (32), Schocke (27), Ramirez (23), MaryBeth Klein (14), Allen (nine), Mandeville and Klink (four apiece), Howard and Dudley (three each), along with Uribe (two), registered Capac’s digs.Howard and Klink (one apiece) furnished Capac’s blocks.Ramirez (10), Schocke (six), Helzer (four), Allen and Klein (three each) plus Block (two) added Capac’s ace serves.Kevin KissaneKevin Kissane has been covering high school sports for the Tri-City Times since 1985.
