A new restaurant is coming to Painesville, Ohio

PAINESVILLE, OH - A new restaurant is coming to the city.

Crowley's Dive Bar is getting ready to open a new location in Painesville, according to a recent social media post from the restaurant. The new restaurant will be located at 77 S St Clair St. This will be Crowley's third location; Crowley's also has locations in Eastlake at 35647 Vine St and Kirtland at 9378 Chillicothe Rd.

Per Crowley's website, the business is an Irish-Croatian bar that is named after the soldier Thomas Crowley, an Irish man who fought in the Croatian War of Independence. The restaurant's menu includes appetizers like chicken wings, pretzels that are served with honey mustard and beer cheese, Nashville hot cheese curds, tater tots, shoestring fries, and onion rings.

Crowley's is known for their smashburgers, which are served on potato rolls and come with government cheese, iceberg lettuce, sauteed onions, and burger sauce. Their smashburgers were voted the best burgers in the Cleveland area in a 2024 readers' poll conducted by cleveland.com.

The restaurant also offers items like fried bologna sandwiches (which are served on brioche toast and come with government cheese, sauteed onions, and hog mustard), chicken parmesan sandwiches (which are served on potato buns and come with breaded chicken, Wild Goose pizza sauce, and provolone), all-beef hot dogs, grilled cheese (which comes with government cheese, provolone, bacon, and tomato), cevapi (which is a sausage that is popular in Southeast Europe), and gyros, which come with cevapi, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, and tzatziki-ajvar sauce.

Crowley's is also open for brunch on the weekends. During brunch, the restaurant offers items like brunch burgers (which come with government cheese, egg, bacon, tater tots, and smash sauce), corned beef hash, chicken & waffles with sriracha bacon syrup, French toast, stuffed French toast, pancakes, and breakfast burritos, which are stuffed with egg, sausage, cheddar, provolone, bacon, home fries, onions, and tomatoes.
