ZANESVILLE, OH – Muskingum County has received $450,000 to transform a former gas station, commonly referred to as Putnam Point. The funding will be used to remove underground storage tanks, demolish old buildings and clean up contamination at the site. This grant is part of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s recent announcement of nearly $50 million in funding for Brownfield remediation across the state. In total, $16.2 million will go toward cleaning up 52 hazardous sites in Ohio, including Putnam Point.
