A 28-year-old man was arrested in Polk County for dumping items that were intended for charity. According to Sheriff Judd, the suspect, Brandyn Carmoega, was paid $250 to deliver the donated goods to a local charity but instead discarded them on a local resident's property.

Detectives were able to trace the items after finding an address among the dumped goods. Upon contacting the original owner, they learned the items were meant to be donated. Carmoega, who had already taken the money for the job, never completed the task.

When detectives reached out to Carmoega for questioning, he refused to cooperate and hired a lawyer. He later contacted the lawyer, stating that he had skipped town and would not be attending their scheduled meeting with the detectives.

A felony warrant was issued for Carmoega’s arrest for illegally dumping hundreds of pounds of debris, and he was subsequently taken into custody the next day.

"Hey Brandyn, what are you thinking? You're paid a lot of money to take items to charity to help folk," Sheriff Judd said. "That's just a stupid game you played, and you won a stupid prize."

Carmoega is now facing charges of trespassing and littering.
