Surveillance footage from the area shows two males firing a handgun down Howe St (toward Pine). Two parked vehicles were struck by the gunfire and there have been no reported injuries.At 7:29 pm, LPD responded to a report of a multi vehicle accident at the intersection of Main/Canal. The offending vehicle departed the scene and proceeded to crash into other vehicles. The suspect vehicle was located on Lisbon St. and the operator fled. He was quickly apprehended and has been identified as, Skyler Henson, 25yo, from Auburn. It should be noted that Henson was arrested by Auburn PD this past weekend for causing $80,000 to $90,000 in damage to seventy-five (75) different vehicles, at Rowe Auburn. Henson was initially held on $5,000.00 cash bail, but the presiding judge lowered his bail to $150.00, and Henson was released. Henson has been taken into custody and is facing numerous charges to include: Driving to Endanger, Operating After Suspension, Leaving the scene of a “Personal Injury” accident, and Violating Conditions of Release.At 8:25 pm, Lewiston Police received another call of shots being fired in the downtown area. Several witnesses reported hearing the gunshots, and this morning investigators located numerous shell casings in the area of 116 Pierce St. Police located bullet holes in a nearby porch and will be reviewing surveillance footage and collecting evidence.
