    Nelsonville-York cruises to three-set sweep over River Valley

    BIDWELL — Winning its fourth in a row and 13th out of the last 14 matchups, Nelsonville-York carried the course on Tuesday night with a three-set sweep over River Valley on the road. The team held the Raiders to 10 points or less in two of the three set victories.

    By the end of the night, the scoresheet read 25-7, 25-10, 25-18 in favor of the Buckeyes.

    Nelsonville-York had a trio of hitters reach double-digit kills with the senior group of Kyleigh Warren, Chloee Vohlken and Gianna Dixon stepping up. Warren finished with a game-high 14 kills while Vohlken and Dixon spiked 11 and 10 respectively. Megan Booth and Cat Dixon each finished with three while Emmie Fowler added a pair herself.

    Booth also finished with a team-leading 29 assists on the night. The team also finished with 18 assists as a whole to help supplement the offense. Delaney Dean finished with a game-high eight while Booth pitched in five.

    Defensively, Dean and Kenzie VanBibber took the charge, each with 10 digs to lead the team. Paisley Stalder finished with eight while both Dixon and Booth dug up six balls.
