Probably the most frustrating part about it is there's really nothing you can do about it," says Davison Township Police Chief Jay Rendon.Redon says yesterday a call came into Davison High School it happened at 1:26 in the afternoon."The caller had called and stated that there were five pipe bombs in the school and they were going to detonate in 25 minutes. Also, there was a gunman in the math wing who was not able to achieve that with police," says Rendon.They were determined to track down the individual who made the call.But because this came from overseas nothing really can be done.Chief Rendon told Mid-Michigan NOW although in this case there probably won’t be charges, he says if calls are made with threats from here in the U.S., they will arrest the person."Then we're gonna prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. And it's people who use these VPNs. People try to do all this spoof stuff. But it does come back to eventually we'll find where it came from," he says.This costs the township and other municipalities a lot of money, however, it is what they train for.Their goal is to always protect the students and the staff."When we train in the summer, we invite all the neighboring jurisdictions this way, if something like this does happen, we're all on the same page. There's no stopping to put a plan together. We know what we're doing," says Rendon.He says the training they have done is crucial in these moments."Everything reverts back to training. And I don't think you can over-train when you do that. It just becomes second nature. So yeah, everybody was on the same page, and it went flawless," he says.These threats are being taken very seriously.Chief Rendon told me by the time he left yesterday evening his detectives had already tracked down where they believed the call came from, that shows how fast they can find a caller.</div></body>
