On Friday, it's going to be three weeks since Jordan Love injured his knee against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil in week 1. And it seems like the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback has a good shot at playing versus the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

According to Ian Rapoport, from NFL Network, the Packers are still not sure if Love will play, since it depends on how his knee will react to the week of practice, but there's a decent chance the starter will be available for the Packers' first divisional game of the season.

"It does seem like the Packers will have their quarterback back. Not for sure, for sure, but it's as close as it has been," Rapoport said. "Jordan Love returned to practice in full pads last week, I would say got somewhat close to being on the field. Of course, obviously it was another Malik Willis' start, another Malik Willis' win by the way, one of the cooler stories in the NFL there. That likely gets set aside this week. Jordan Love, out the last couple of weeks with an MCL sprain. It was about a three-week recovery, so the actual target was probably next week, but he's healing quickly, he's been back at practice, willing to play less than 100%. It would make sense that we'll see him out there this week against the Vikings. We'll see how the week of practice treats him."

    Situation

Jordan Love has an MCL strain , which is some sort of best-case scenario when talking about knee ligament injuries. The initial prognostic indicated that he would miss three to six weeks, but it always felt like he would be available sooner rather than later.

Love missed all week of practice before the Indianapolis Colts game in week 2, but he was able to be a limited participant all of last week in the preparation for the Tennessee Titans game . In both cases, Malik Willis started and the Packers won, moving to 2-1 in the season.

On Tuesday, head coach Matt LaFleur said that Jordan Love is expected to be a part of the practice this week, limited once again.

    Quarterback situation

The Packers had to elevate quarterback Sean Clifford twice from the practice squad for gameday. He still has one elevation left for the entire season. And this is something to watch: If Green Bay does not elevate him on Saturday, it will be a clear indication that Jordan Love will play.
