<body><div><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=0jFz9T_0vjSCJaa00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0jFz9T_0vjSCJaa00" width="678" height="381" ></figure><h2>Lynden Christian 8, Mount Baker 0</h2><h2>Lynden 6, Sedro-Woolley 0</h2><h2>Sehome 3, Oak Harbor 1</h2><h2>Bellingham 3, Ferndale 0</h2><h2>Blaine 2, Nooksack Valley 1</h2><h2>Burlington-Edison 7, Meridian 0</h2><h2>Mount Vernon 2, Squalicum 0</h2><ul><li><b>Lynden Christian 8, Mount Baker 0</b></li></ul><p>Six different Lyncs got into the scoring column, with sophomore Ava VanHofwegen leading the way with a pair of goals.</p><p>It was Lynden Christian’s second shutout in a row, and the Mountaineers are still efforting to pick up their first win of the season.</p><ul><li><b>Lynden 6, Sedro-Woolley 0</b></li></ul><p>The offensive powerhouse that is the Lynden girls soccer team continued to roll as senior Evelyn Saldivar scored a season-high four goals to lead the way.</p><p>Junior Meg Clarke and senior Maliah Mitchell also scored goals for the Lions who remained undefeated on the season.</p><ul><li><b>Sehome 3, Oak Harbor 1</b></li></ul><p>The Wildcats got into the scoring column first with an early goal off a turnover, but the Mariners were able to tie the game up at 1-1 just before the half when junior midfielder Keira Reeves scored on a great cross pass from sophomore Ayla Woodworth.</p><p>After an evenly played first half, Sehome was able to strike again to take the lead in the second half when Woodworth tapped in a rebound off the goalie after a powerful shot from Reeves.</p><p>Senior Triya Mitchell concluded the scoring when she dribbled past a few players to score from about 12 yards out.</p><ul><li><b>Bellingham 3, Ferndale 0</b></li></ul><p>After a scoreless first half, it was all Bayhawks in the second.</p><p>The Golden Eagles defended well, and made clutch saves at the goal, but two goals from senior Ivy Newell and one by freshman Averie Riddell proved to be too much.</p><p>Freshman goalkeeper Uma Bachmeier secured yet another clean sheet, with some help from defenders Stella Eltrich and Kira Carlson.</p><ul><li><b>Blaine 2, Nooksack Valley 1</b></li></ul><p>The first half showed a couple scoring opportunities for both teams, but both goalkeepers played well and didn’t allow a single score.</p><p>Both teams played faster in the second half, and the Borderites opened up the scoring on a goal from sophomore Nevaeh Zaddack on a cross from junior Beatrice Dickson.</p><p>The Pioneers evened the score up moments later when junior Maggie Byers struck a shot that the defender tried to clear, but ended up going into the net.</p><p>Blaine sophomore Kate Koreski scored the final goal, which ended up being the game winner, on a beautiful shot into the top corner of the net.</p><ul><li><b>Burlington-Edison 7, Meridian 0</b></li></ul><p>The Trojans struggled against the stronger Tigers on the road, and fell to 1-4-1 on the season.</p><ul><li><b>Mount Vernon 2, Squalicum 0</b></li></ul><p>The Storm hung with the 3A Bulldogs for most of the match, but ultimately fell to 3-2 on the season.</p></div></body>
