Bam Margera was released from jail on Wednesday morning (September 25) after getting arrested for violating probation on September 16.

"Today was a good day in court for Mr. Margera," his attorney Michael T. van der Veen said in a statement. "He is being released from jail today and going for some short-term treatment. He is back on the road to his successful career and wonderful life with his wife."

The Jackass star found himself back in jail after getting arrested in Needmore, Pennsylvania for suspicion of driving under the influence and other summary violations, including a violation of Margera’s six-month probation sentence issued in June when he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation with his brother .

According to a press release, Margera chose the facility and will be in treatment for 28 days unless Recovery Centers of America deems a shorter period is appropriate.

The 44-year-old reality star has been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for years. In 2023, Margera's former Jackass costar Steve-O begged him to get sober . “I wish you could know how much I’ve hated feeling braced for news of your death, but you’re making it clear that I have no other choice,” he wrote in a since-deleted comment on Instagram. “You’re dying, brother, and it sucks that I can’t do anything to save you.”

Margera has been in and out of rehab numerous times revealed he was "basically pronounced dead" while hospitalized in December 2022.

He has the addiction gene. He will only stop when he is truly ready to stop. Otherwise, it's a game of relapse after relapse. Addiction is hell.
