Haywood County Schools Assistant Superintendent Graham Haynes said district officials will be monitoring the weather before making a decision about the Tuscola vs. Franklin football game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday. “We, of course, want to make sure it’s safe to play,” Haynes said. Pisgah is idle this week. The Tuscola JV football game has been rescheduled to Wednesday night instead of Thursday. A spokesperson for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association said decisions about games would be made by district officials. By 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service had issued a Tropical Storm Watch for pretty much all of Western North Carolina.
