<body><div><p>Wednesday, September 25, 2024–10:50 a.m.</p><p>-Floyd County Jail records-</p><h2>Man accused of threatening judge</h2><p>A North Rome man arrested earlier this week for reportedly calling 911 a total of 39 times is now accused of threatening a Floyd County Magistrate judge.</p><p>According to Floyd County Jail records:</p><p>60-year-old Steve Lorenzo Miller threatened to kill the judge while exiting the courtroom after making a first appearance.</p><p>Later, while entering his cell at the jail, Miller threatened to have someone kill the judge.</p><p>Miller is charged with two counts of intimidation of a court officer.</p><h2>Man arrested on drugs and weapons charges in West Rome</h2><p>A Rockmart man is facing multiple charges following his arrest at an apartment on Mississippi Drive in West Rome Tuesday.</p><p>According to Floyd County Jail records:</p><p>24-year-old Rolando Manuel Alonso had several THC vape pens, a vacuum sealer, plastic packaging materials, and digital scales.</p><p>Alonso, who is a convicted felon, also threw a shotgun into the attic in an effort to conceal it and flushed marijuana down the toilet as officers were executing a search warrant.</p><p>He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of drug-related objects, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and two counts of tampering with evidence.</p><p>The address on Mississippi Drive was the same one that officers had responded to on Monday evening regarding shots being fired in the area.</p></div></body>
