Money that can fine tune providing more service.“There is going to be a lot of different areas, you know like smaller pockets, that are going to have to be served. The money is there to fund these projects.”In anticipation of the new release of funding, Centre County is seeking a new round of proposals from broadband service providers, and they'll have until January to respond.Affordability and cost will be one of the key components the county is looking for in the service provider proposals. Meanwhile, other related projects are already underway.“I understand there's been some movement bringing fiber optic capability into some more rural areas.”Centre County has reserved up to a million dollars in federal COVID relief funding that could be used for matching grants in broadband expansion projects.</div></body>
