Popular Fast Food Chain Closing 1 Location In Ohio

A popular fast food chain beloved for its burgers and milkshakes is closing several locations around the country by the end of the week — including in Ohio.

Shake Shack recently announced it was closing nine locations in three states — Ohio, California and Texas — by Wednesday (September 25) after it was determined they were not performing as well as others. The location in the Buckeye State that shuttered its doors is the Polaris location in Columbus.

"After careful consideration, we've made the tough decision to close a small group of Shacks due to various factors, including underperformance," Shake Shack CEO Rob Lynch said in an email obtained by USA Today . "We remain focused on supporting our team members through this transition and look forward to continuing our growth, opening many more locations across the country."

While the Polaris location is officially closed, there are still plenty of locations around Ohio where you can still satisfy your Shake Shack craving, including in Cleveland, Columbus, Liberty Township, Orange Village and Westlake. Find your nearest location by visiting the restaurant's website .

The Shake Shack closure comes one month after another popular restaurant chain announced it was shuttering locations all around the U.S., including one spot in Ohio , in an effort to fight off bankruptcy.
