He does it all, writing, directing, acting.Along the way, Rodriguez got advice from Clint Eastwood."You know Paul, making movies is like playing baseball. If your player can't do it in 3 strikes, then he shouldn't be playing the game," Rodriguez said.One of his co-stars is comedian Jay Mohr."When you're married to the owner of the Lakers you don't need the money. It's pretty hard to negotiate with him. He said look we're friends. He did a couple of rehearsals and he's a genius you know,"This movie doesn't have a political slant. It doesn't try to change your religion. It's not trying to convert you or make you believe or not believe. It's just simply two old fools who are trying to scam the system," Rodriguez saidRodriguez and his investors have poured a few million into Holy Cash. AMC Theaters is releasing it in 10 cities including Fresno, showing on approximately 100 screens."I hope Fresno is proud of me 'cause I don't want to oversell it but you'll laugh. You'll laugh. That's the business I'm in," Rodriguez said.Rodriguez is confident Holy Cash will be a hit but says if Hollywood wants him to make another movie he'll pass — because he's too old.If the movie does well in Fresno, Rodriguez says AMC will add more theaters. Rodriguez plans to move back to the Valley when he retires.His mission is to start a theater company.</div></body>
