UPDATE: PCSD announces fatality in Picture Rocks Road traffic incident

UPDATE:

PCSD has announced 57-year-old Samantha Elliott, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle incident.

Elliott was traveling east on Picture Rocks Road when she crossed the center line, colliding with the oncoming traffic. The occupants of the other vehicle were treated with injuries.

PCSD says the investigation remains ongoing.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that Picture Rocks Road is closed in both directions just west of where the road turns into Wade Road after a traffic incident with injuries.

Please find alternative routes of travel.
