It was reported that an older model green SUV may have stopped some elementary students walking home from Jefferson Elementary and offered them a ride in the area of East Davis and South Lincoln. </p><p>Officials say the students denied the offer and nothing came of the incident. They add that this type of behavior is very suspicious and serves as a reminder to everyone to talk to their children about safe practices, staying in groups, and only talking to trusted adults. </p><p>The district is working with the Beaver Dam Police Department and school resources officers to follow up on this situation. Extra patrols have been requested in and around areas where elementary school neighborhoods reside. </p></div></body>
