CBS College Football analyst lists Indiana as dark horse in the Big Ten race

Indiana has been a big surprise in the Big Ten so far, as Curt Cignetti becomes the first coach in program history to start his career in Bloomington 4-0. The Hoosiers have been blowing teams out left and right, which has caught the eyes of national analysts.

CBS college football analyst Aaron Taylor has been especially impressed with Indiana so far this season, recommending them as a team to watch in the Big Ten race.

“I know it’s early, but you can’t talk about a better start for this Indiana program,” Taylor said. “They have turned the corner and are going to make things really interesting down the stretch in this conference.”

The Hoosier offense has been a huge reason they have gotten off to a great start. Quarterback Kurtis Rourke has looked great in the passing game, ranking third in passing yards and tied for the most passing touchdowns in the conference. Indiana also has a dangerous running back duo that has combined for 450+ yards with Ty Son Lawton and Justice Ellison.

Another big reason people are buying into this Indiana team is the schedule they have moving forward. With only three more road tests remaining against Northwestern, Michigan State, and Ohio State, the Hoosiers host two of their toughest opponents remaining on the schedule: Nebraska and Michigan.

However, this Saturday will be a huge test for Cignetti and company as they welcome Maryland to Memorial Stadium. Quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. and wide receiver Tai Felton pose a dangerous attack through the air, so the Hoosier secondary will face a big challenge against its toughest opponent to date.
